The Seattle Sounders announced a pair of trades that will net them $800,000 in General Allocation Money in exchange for four international roster spots, while also revealing that Pedro de la Vega has obtained his green card and will no longer occupy an international roster spot. That leaves the Sounders with all four of their remaining international roster spots occupied and about $1.6 million in available cap space, based on Sounder at Heart’s estimates.

Kim Kee-hee, Georgi Minoungou, Nikola Petkcović and Yu Tsukanome all now occupy international roster spots. The Sounders currently don’t have any unused international spots.
The first trade saw the Sounders send two international roster spots to the New York Red Bulls in exchange for $350,000 in 2026 GAM and $50,000 in 2027 GAM. The Sounders then sent two more international roster spots to Charlotte FC in exchange for $300,000 in 2026 GAM and $100,000 in 2027 GAM.
