MARBELLA, Spain — Although we weren’t there long, we did our best to make our trip to Sounders preseason worth it. Without a doubt, one of the highlights was getting to sit down with the Roldan brothers for a rare chance to talk to both of them at once.
Truth be told, this is actually the second time I’ve been able to do that. The first time was way back in 2019 when Cristian was already an established MLS star while his brother was just coming off a rookie campaign. Somehow, I managed to get them to arm-wrestle as GM Garth Lagerwey looked on in virtual horror.
Try as I might, I was not able to recreate that glorious moment when we met again. I did, however, get them to talk about all sorts of other fun stuff. Hope you enjoy!
