The Seattle Sounders faced off against last year’s playoff foes, Minnesota United, on Sunday, and came away with a point from a scoreless draw. As was to be expected, Seattle dominated possession while Minnesota sat deep and looked to counter. Cristian Roldan saw a deflected effort clip the bar. At the other end, Andrew Thomas had to deny Kelvin Yeboah twice in quick succession. In the 80th minute, Anthony Markanich nearly found the winner on a clipped ball toward the back post.
