Seattle Reign finally make their 2026 Lumen Field debut this afternoon when they welcome the Utah Royals to Seattle following a two-week international break. The new natural grass surface at Lumen has hosted four games since it was installed at the beginning of the month, and so far it has held up quite well aside from some feedback that it plays fast and is a bit harder than would be ideal.

Both teams come into this game on three-match undefeated streaks – Utah beat the Chicago Stars 1-0 in their last game, while the Reign drew Denver Summit 0-0 to finish their Spokane homestand. The Reign have a 9-2-3 all-time record against both versions of the Royals, which includes a 5-1-1 home record. They have scored 21 goals while Utah has scored 13. In 2025, the Reign won both meetings between the two clubs, a 2-1 home win and a 4-1 victory in Utah.

Notes

Mia Fishel, Maddie Dahlien and Holly Ward are all off the injury list and available for selection. Backup goalkeeper Cassie Miller has also been activated from the long-term injury list for the first time in nearly a year. However, Jordyn Bugg and Sofia Cedeño picked up injuries while away on national team duty, and Ruby Hladek is also out with a leg injury.
Members of the Seattle Torrent will take part in a discussion panel ahead of the game, starting at 4:20 PM on the club level near section 210. Players from the Torrent will also lead the crowd in the Scarves Up ceremony before kickoff.
Season ticket holders can pick up their scarves near Cityside Bar at the top of the stairs in the North Plaza. The first 500 people to get their scarf will also receive a Claudia Dickey foam claw.
The Link 1 line is closed for construction this weekend between Rainier Beach and Sea/Tac Airport stations, with a shuttle bus replacing service on that segment.
