Seattle Reign will be looking to disrupt some streaks as they return home at Lumen Field for a Mother’s Day matinee this afternoon against the Washington Spirit. Seattle comes into the game on a three-match winless run and has not scored since the first half of their 2-1 victory over Racing Louisville in late March. The Spirit, meanwhile, have won four in a row after a slow start to the season, and Trinity Rodman has scored in each of the past three games as she looks to be fully recovered from a long-term back injury that left her sidelined for part of last year.
Over the years, both teams have had stretches of dominance in this series, with the Reign holding a very slight edge at 14-12-8, which includes a 10-6-4 home record. Seattle has scored 48 goals and conceded 40 all-time. Washington has had the upper hand of late, winning the last three meetings, including a 2-1 win at Lumen Field and a 2-0 win in DC last season.

Keys to the game
- Be clinical in front of goal
- Stay sharp on defense
- Don’t get caught in footraces out wide
Notes
- Jordyn Bugg remains out with an injury picked up at April’s US U20 WNT camp, but Ruby Hladek is available for selection after being out the past two weeks.
- Today is Laura Harvey’s 300th game coaching in the NWSL across all competitions, a record. She reached 250 games with the Reign two weeks ago.
- The Link 1 Line is closed for maintenance between SeaTac Airport and Rainier Beach stations, with a bus bridge providing connecting service between the two. Several WSDOT construction projects will also impact area roads, including a closure of the northbound 1st Ave S bridge for surface replacement.
