For the second time this season, Seattle Reign have three consecutive games against the California-based NWSL teams. This cycle begins with the Reign welcoming San Diego Wave to Lumen Field, where the Reign now have a four-game home unbeaten streak after struggling to start the year.
At the end of July, Seattle went down to Southern California and defeated the Wave, 2-0, with goals coming from Maddie Mercado and Jordyn Bugg. The Reign hold a commanding 10-1-3 record all-time against San Diego, which includes a 5-0-1 home record. Seattle has scored 20 goals in the series, while the Wave have scored 7.
Last weekend, Seattle defeated the Dash at home, 1-0, while the Wave earned a come-from-behind home victory over Racing Louisville, scoring three unanswered second-half goals to win 3-2.

Notes
- New signing Ami Diallo arrived in Seattle late in the week after her transfer and visa paperwork was finalized. She is scheduled to begin training with the team next week and will not be available for selection.
- Today is Hello Kitty Day for the Reign. There will a bag charm giveaway for the first 4,000 fans, as well as special Reign x Hello Kitty merchandise available and other themed activities around the concourse.
- Today’s game also includes a halftime celebration for goalkeeper Cassie Miller as the Reign’s Lauren Holiday Impact Award nominee for her work with the Nick In Time Foundation. Holiday will be in attendance for the game.
- The Mariners have a home game which begins at 1:10 PM PT. It should be finished long before gates open at Lumen Field, but there may be residual crowds and traffic in the area.
