OL Reign announced on Wednesday that, for the first time for a standalone NWSL game at Lumen Field, they have opened sections in the upper deck for Megan Rapinoe’s final regular season game on October 6 against the Washington Spirit. Ticket sales for the match have already surpassed the club’s prior standalone record of 21,491 fans at last year’s playoff semifinal match.

“October 6 will be a very special day in Seattle as we come together to celebrate a global icon playing in her final home game of the regular season,” said Vice President of Ticketing and Marketing Michelle Haines in a team release. “Megan has proudly represented this club and our city for over a decade, so we’re prepared to pack Lumen and honor her during this final stretch of her career.”

Tickets in three sections on the east side of the upper deck are currently available, marking the fifth time the team has further expanded capacity for this game to meet demand. The all-time NWSL single-game attendance record is currently 32,000 fans, set last September by San Diego Wave FC at Snapdragon Stadium.

The Reign have one additional home match ahead of Rapinoe's final regular-season game at Lumen Field. They host the North Carolina Courage on Sunday, October 1, at 5 PM PT.
