RENTON – It's easy to talk about honoring history. Actually doing it is where sports teams prove themselves.
They have to care about themselves, their region and most importantly their fans. There are plenty of opportunities for missteps.
In the case of the Seattle Sounders' callouts to history within their new training center at Longacres there are no missteps. There is only care, honor and the elevation of fandom at every first team player facing wall in their halls.
It starts with the Hallway of Champions – Stefan Frei called it that and we're going with it.
"The hallway is considered the Hallway of Champions, right?," he said. "And every time, for me at least, you know you're going to walk in and out of that hallway every single day."
