SOUNDERS 3, RAPIDS 2: The Rapids scored a pair of penalties just three minutes apart, the first converted by Djorde Mihailovic after Cristian Roldan mishandled a clearance in box and kicked Rafael Navarro. Cole Bassett then converted another chance after Navarro beat Andrew Thomas to a ball in the box and was taken down.
SOUNDERS 3, RAPIDS 0: Albert Rusnák on a shot from about 19 yards out after Danny Musovski set him up.

SOUNDERS 2, RAPIDS 0: Just as the Rapids seemed to be getting some control, Zack Steffen made the odd decision to clear a ball to the middle of the field after coming way out of his box. Jackson Ragen won the header at midfield and Albert Rusnák hit a half-volley from about 35 yards out to put it in the open net.

LINEUPS: The Sounders made just two changes from their Saturday match, while the Rapids didn’t make any changes.
The Seattle Sounders will be debuting their “Orca Kit” tonight against the Colorado Rapids in the first of two games that make up “Throwback Week.” The Sounders have gone 2-0-1 in three games since they returned from the Club World Cup and currently sit fourth in the Western Conference table.
The Rapids have gone 2-5-1 in their last eight league games, but are coming off a 3-0 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps.
In the first meeting between these teams earlier this year, the teams settled for a 1-1 tie, with Seattle’s goal coming from Danny Musovski.
