The Seattle Sounders have dominated the Colorado Rapids during the MLS era, especially at home. Dating back to 2009, the Sounders are 16-2-3 at Lumen Field against the Rapids.
Recent meetings haven’t been quite as dominant, though. The Rapids have tied the Sounders in each of their past two trips to Seattle, most recently erasing a 3-goal deficit to pull out a 3-3 tie.
That was one of the Sounders’ few slip-ups at home last year, where they went 10-1-6 in MLS play and 15-1-7 against North American opponents. The Sounders now have a 68.88% home-winning percentage during their MLS existence, the third-best mark in MLS history.
