Although it was a result marred by injury and lengthy stoppages, the Seattle Sounders opened their 2026 campaign with a convincing 2-0 win over the Colorado Rapids on Sunday. Paul Rothrock replaced an injured Jordan Morris to assist on the opening goal and score the clincher on his own, while Jesús Ferreira picked up a couple of assists. The Sounders will now embark on a five-game road trip before returning to Lumen Field on April 12.
