360 image shows the breadth of USMNT crowd at Brick Park

The spot on Occidental has become the organic gathering spot for the World Cup.

By now, you’ve surely seen the videos and photos of gatherings on Occidental Avenue at what is now being called "Brick Park." Almost every day, crowds of hundreds line up to watch games at the temporary stage that was set up primarily as a World Cup viewing event by Marcus Lalario, who owns neighboring Darkalinos and Hometeam Seattle.

Where the space really shines, though, is whenever there are matches at Seattle Stadium, but especially when the United States men's national team or Mexico play. On those days, the crowds have regularly numbered well into the thousands and can sometimes stretch all the way to Jackson.

When the USMNT played Bosnia & Herzegovina on Wednesday, there were about 5,000 people in attendance. Independent photographer Joe Towner – whose work can be found online as PNWMF – snapped a 360-degree photo that does as good of a job as any as capturing the entire scene:
