The Seattle Sounders will look to avoid becoming just the sixth team in MLS history to lose as many as nine straight games in regulation in a single season when they face FC Cincinnati tonight. It would take a pretty significant upset for them to avoid it.

Aside from their poor form, the Sounders will also be traveling across the country on short rest and will likely be looking to rotate their already depleted roster. The latest player to join the ranks of the injured is Jackson Ragen, who is out after suffering a hyper-extended knee in the previous match. It was not immediately clear when Ragen will be back.

FC Cincinnati, meanwhile, have the league's best offense, with 48 goals scored in 20 games. They are, however, one of the leakiest defenses with 46 goals allowed. Like the Sounders, Cincinnati are also in a bit of fixture congestion, and will be playing their seventh match in 22 days.

This is just the fourth time that the Sounders have played at TQL Stadium, having gone 1–1–1 in their previous three trips.
