OL Reign announced on Tuesday that they have signed Olivia Van der Jagt to a new contract which will see her stay with the club through the 2026 NWSL season. The Kent native was selected 33rd overall by the Reign in the 2022 NWSL Draft and has been a regular midfield presence for the club.

“Getting drafted by my hometown team and being able to start my professional career in Seattle was a dream come true,” said Van der Jagt in a team release. “I’m so honored and grateful to have the opportunity to continue playing where I grew up for another three years in front of my family and friends. I’m proud to represent this city and our fans and will give my very best to help us achieve our goals.”

The former UW Husky started her pro career with a bang, appearing in four Challenge Cup matches in 2022 and scoring a goal while adding an assist. In regular-season play she appeared in all but one game in 2022 and has made 21 starts and 32 appearances overall in the past two seasons. Her first regular season goal was a game-winner earlier this season against San Diego.

“Olo has been such a great fit for our club and embodies all of the qualities we look for in a player, which is why we’re thrilled to have her with us for the next three seasons,” said OL Reign head coach Laura Harvey. “Since we drafted her, she’s made an immediate impact on our roster and has been a consistent threat with her presence in the midfield. We’re very happy to have her on our side and watch her grow through 2026.”
