The Seattle Sounders are officially off to their worst-ever start after falling 2-0 to the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday. They are now 1-4-3 through eight games, good for six points. In 2018, they were 2-4-2 (eight points) through eight games.

This game was particularly ugly, as Jackson Ragen was shown a red card in the 42nd minute and Alex Roldan was shown a straight red in the 76th minute, forcing them to play down two men for a significant portion of the match.
