Opposition players to watch
Owen Wolff: The 20-year-old has enjoyed a breakout season with five goals and six assists in MLS play and seems well on his way to earning a move abroad. He has been borderline dominant at times while moving all around the midfield.
Osman Bukari: The numbers don't really jump off the page, but the winger has been much more dangerous that his stats might suggest. At times, Boukari is almost unplayable coming off the wing and he's coming off a standout performance in the U.S. Open Cup semis.

Stats to look smart
16 – Although they are averaging just over a goal per game for the season, Austin's offense has been humming over their past eight games in which they've scored 16 goals. That's more than half their season total in just under a quarter of their season.
20 – The Sounders offense has been even better, scoring 20 goals in their past eight games, which is more than anyone else in MLS in that time. The scoring load has been pretty balanced too, with seven different players scoring at least one in that time.
Tactics to impress
- Austin is simply not going to press the action, even if this game is at home. They tend to sit relatively deep and aren't even all that interested in counters. But they are a pain to play against.
- After dropping points in two straight games, the Sounders will obviously be looking to get back to what drove their successful run over the previous few months: Active defending and aggressive attacking.
