What’s interesting today?

  • France has been the tournament's most dominant team so far, outscoring their five opponents 14–2. Kylian Mbappe has been their top scorer (7) and is one behind Lionel Messi for the Golden Boot lead, but they are getting contributions all over the roster.
  • Fresh off becoming the first African nation to qualify for the World Cup semifinals in 2022, they are now one step away from doing it in consecutive tournaments.
  • Morocco is coming off a 3–0 win over co-hosts Canada in the Round of 16.
