As promised in Adrian Hanauer’s open letter to the club’s community, the Seattle Sounders will hold their Annual Business Meeting on Sept. 26, a few hours before the Minnesota United match. The meeting is scheduled to run from 2–4 PM and requires fans to have a match ticket, be an Alliance Member and to RSVP (invites have been sent to Alliance Members’ emails).

In addition to the normal presentations from various part of the Sounders organization from business metrics to insight into the sporting aspects, one of the staples of the ABM is a question-and-answer session with club leadership, with Alliance Members invited to submit questions ahead of time.

Among those expected to attend are:

  • Adrian Hanauer, Majority Owner
  • Craig Waibel, General Manager and Chief Soccer Officer
  • Courtney Carter, Chief Revenue Officer
  • Sean Coury, Chief Financial Officer

While the ABM is often a rather staid affair, this year's promises to be a bit more interesting as fan unrest is particularly high. The Sounders said they are holding the event on a matchday for the first time ever in part ot address these issues head-on.

"We want more of you in the room, asking questions and helping shape where this Club goes next," the club said in its invite.
