The Seattle Sounders’ 2027 Sprint Season schedule was unveiled on Thursday. As previously announced, the campaign will feature just 14 games, including one against each in-conference opponent.
The regular season starts on Feb. 21 at home against Real Salt Lake and concludes with a road match against St. Louis City on May 8. The playoffs will feature eight teams from each conference, who will play single-elimination games at the higher-seeded team’s home and culminate with MLS Cup on Memorial Day weekend.
That all serves as a bridge to the new MLS calendar, which will run from mid-July to late May and include a winter break.
Based on 2026 performances, it will likely be imperative for the Sounders to start strong in 2027. Four of their first five games are against teams who are likely to miss the playoffs this year, while their last six are all against teams currently in playoff spots.
Among their seven home opponents are the Portland Timbers on April 3 and LAFC on April 7, one of three weeks that feature mid-week games.
